It seems that I woke up determined that nothing would spoil my day. On my way to work, my friend was playing some random playlist from her USB and suddenly Helpless When Smiles is playing!! The song turned me around...it felt so good to listen to my fave boy band after a looong time..maybe it also reminded me of my days in Dubai. I have to say the song set the mood for the whole day. My energy levels were consistent throughout the day...I seriously didn't want to let anything bring me down today - and I didn't! :)
I decided I wanted to give my boss his late Christmas present. Printed out a collage of his pics and those of his daughter which I clicked during one of the company events, and nicely framed it. Waited till he was in a meeting and placed the picture frame on his desk with a small note. Once he was out of the meeting and at his desk, I was waiting to find out what his reaction will be. Wow! He was THRILLED to see that! It was like the surprise of the day. Loved his facial expression and how he was smiling ear to ear for at least 5 minutes :)
He thanked me and said he can't wait to show it to his daughter.
I was so happy yo see him excited about this little thing..lately he's been down for some reason, don't know what it is but I know it's work related. I feel bad when I see him this way because he's naturally quite jolly, always smiling inspite of the enormous amount of pressure he experiences at work (I know best) and I admire him so much for being so well composed!
Oh well, I'm glad I helped him change his mood for a little while at least :)
The coming two days are gonna be quiet busy on and off duty! But hey I'm excited!
Can't wait to go to Alex to Friday...
